For The Joy Of Music.

Firstly let me let all of you know that I greatly appreciate your reviews. I love getting feedback.

Secondly, let me inform all of you about something. Inspiration is a wonderful thing. Without it, we would not have all of the wonderful stories/poems here on Blogger, and all of these other wonderful authors all over the world. We also would not have music. For those musicians out there, this one is for you.

For the Love of Music

I have grown up, all of my life, with Music. I was lucky by some peoples’ standards. I grew up with the sound of voice, guitar, violin, keyboard, percussion instruments, woodwinds, any and everything imaginable; the benefits of being in a family of musicians, and being a musician myself. For me, there is nothing more beautiful than a good song. Be it Classical, Heavy Metal, Rock and Roll, Elvis, The Beatles, Three Doors Down, Pink Floyd, Mozart, anything that pulls at your heart-strings. It can take you on a journey more wonderful than Tokens best novel.

When you search for your favorite band on the Internet how many hits do you get? Thousands? Music is everywhere. Music is the acclimation of the feelings the artist is feeling at the time. Be it love, hate, scorn, anger, depression, you name it; there is at least one song for it, and at least five different ways to express it.

How many of you out there have joined Choir at school or church? How many have learned the pure joy it can bring? The soaring voices and piano. Nothing can take the place of that journey of sound, the interweaving harmonies of the surrounding voices, the joy of being in the middle of a beautiful creation, bringing black and white notes on paper into a beautiful melody.

Most people don’t know it, but they are surrounded by Music. When you watch your favorite movie, there is great music in the background, and don’t you want to get the soundtrack? When you are placed on hold, there is music. In an elevator, too there is music. It may not be the best in the world I agree, but some 80’s music is enjoyable, as it is the birth of Techno. When you have a song stuck in your head, and hum it through the day at work, when you listen to the radio, tape, or CD player in your car, playing video games, almost everywhere on this planet there is Music. It is a way of wordless communication. The Native Americans had it, the Africans, Asians, Europeans, Germans, French, Italian, Americans, everyone has music.

The single mournful note of an oboe communicates its message directly, without any words. The joyful rising note of a violin lifts the spirits in one beautiful measure. The interweaving of melody, harmony, and bass, take the spirit and heart on a wild ride that cannot be described. When you hear the Sopranos in one of Mozart’s moving pieces sing in interweaving harmony, you know down to your marrow that they are doing nothing less than expressing the joy of something beautiful, wondrous, and unique.

It is called, “The Joy of Music”

You have written it beautifully. I just can't agree more with your thoughts....music is one thing that doesn't have any boundaries any language...its sheer melody that captivates us irrespective of the language. To me also music is a pure essence & it has been part of my life all throughout from the growing up years to the school choir and then strumming the guitar and sometimes the synthesizer in idle moments....its sheer joy indeed!
